Après Kondo Racing, c'est 5ZIGEN qui ne compte pas revenir en Formula Nippon. Présent de 1993 à 2008 dans la catégorie, par 2 fois Team 5Zigen terminera vice-champion (2000 Michael Krumm) (2001 Naoki Hattori). Des pilotes connus ont roulé pour 5Zigen: Mika Salo, Marco Apicella, Michael Kruum pour les européens, Michigami, Hattori, pour les Japonais... En 1995 par exemple le Team allignera 3 monoplaces (Jeff Krosnoff, Hidetoshi Mitsusada, Marco Apicella) ! Voici le communiqué "officiel" du Team: Dear Sir, We are sory to say, we have not entried Formula Nippon past 2 years. We are not sure we will return to the Race next year yet.
